Born and raised in Florida, I made a decision a couple of years ago to follow what I felt regardless of whether I could explain it to my friends and family or not. I traveled, volunteered, took some chances, and allowed myself to truly open up to this thing called life. One adventure at a time, void of any itineraries, I found myself in Colorado. This was one risk that pays off every day I am here. I was an AmeriCorps volunteer for a year, working with kids at the Boys & Girls Club. With a small salary and some amazing rewards I was both humbled and inspired to continue living through giving. Stumbling upon teacher training at Breathe Yoga, I did it again, took a chance on a studio I had never stepped foot in. By doing so I not only was able to follow through with a dream of sharing yoga with my community, but gaining some amazing people in my life. Today I can say I am grateful to practice what I believe while creating an inviting environment for others to explore a practice that can be mentally, physically, and spiritually beneficial …once they open up to this thing called life.
