After eight years of competitive running and the nagging of friends, Jason wandered into his first yoga class. Hoping, yoga could relieve him of the aches and pains in his knees, ankle, and back.
"I still vividly remember my first yoga class. Tuesday, Hot 70 4:30. Lying there, on my mat, thinking to myself "What am I doing here?" My heart racing, I was so nervous. haha. Seventy or so minutes later I walked out of class kinda feeling foolish, thinking yoga was not for me; ready to give up on yoga and on myself. "I'll give it five more classes" I told myself."
A boatload of classes later Jason's practice offered him far more than healthier joints. Illuminating a path of joy, confidence, passion, humility, and contentment he believed had been lost to him. Not just on his mat but off it as well. A gift Jason is honored and humbled to be given.
Jason, in the fall of 2009, went on to walk the path of an instructor. Becoming a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified instructor with Breathe Yoga. To pass on the joy and the passion yoga to others as it was passed on to him. Empowering his students believe in a truth, which he stands by, that yoga is meant to be enjoyed by everyone.
